Good morning,
Welcome to Day 416. The day we’ve all been waiting for.
Josh Frydenberg has had all weekend with Commissioner Hayne’s final report, and we’ve been busy putting the final touches on our new site as we prepare for launch.
Later today a small number of journalists will be locked up in a room deep in the bowels of Parliament to pore over the expected 1,000+ pages of Commissioner Hayne’s findings and recommendations.
Outside, advisors and lobbyists will be expected to have their talking points ready, without enough time to have fully digested the information.
Executives and advisors I speak to often display a frustration with the sheer deluge of reports and information they need to keep across.
Among other tools, our paid service will include report and policy summaries, written by our journalists. Clear, straight and succinct, these summaries are designed to save subscribers time.
Later today we’ll bring you a considered summary of the points that matter, along with expert views. We’ll then have a fuller summary for subscribers.
Thanks for being one of our early supporters, and sharing our news with your colleagues.
